About me
I am 23 from wolverhampton, I am currently a barber who's slowly building an online presence, I've gained a passion for digital marketing because majority of my job is online advertising, promoting myself.
Why a digital marketing apprenticeship?
As someone who consider himself to be an entrepreneur who uses digital marketing to not only promote myself but to also sell and buy products. I've grown to understand what makes someone stop to look at a picture or a video, or how someone can learn to understand if the person online is genuine or not. so by understanding all this I've noticed i'm getting more repeat customers and i'm also communicating with more potential customers as well. This has led to me wanting to understand more about digital marketing and how it benefits a company. I started watching podcasts and interviews of people like Ben Francis and Gary Vee who are big on the investing in the digital part of your business for the future. As this is part of my life and my passion I really want to make digital marketing my career but didn't have the knowledge of where to start so I figured doing a digital marketing apprenticeship would be the best route for me to get my career started and to learn more on the way.
Skills
• Excellent communication skills- I'm able to communicate effectively with everyone I meet, even with a language barrier I will find a solution on how to communicate with the individual.
• Team player- as someone who's worked in a team many times to complete tasks,I'm confident in my self to always bring a factor to a team such as being a team leader or supporting others.
• Reliable- I'm able to take on responsibility and complete it independently within a deadline.
• Resilient- doesn't matter how difficult a task is I will find a solution and I will learn from it so if a similar problem was to occur again i will have the confidence to deal with the situation without any hesitation.
• Organised- As someone who's self employed being organised is important, which helps with my time keeping and stay on on top of task which are needed to be done.
• The understanding of customer relationship management- I understand the importance of knowing how to deal with customers and understanding their needs, I understand what people want to know when it comes to how they want to be treated as a customer and what I can do to make them want to come back and become a repeat customer.
Usage of website analytics & SEOs
the usage of website analytics such as the latest sales statistics on stock x has helped me thrive as a reseller as understand what's becoming popular, so due to this the item prices will be inflating and what product prices are deflating, this will tell me what products I should be buying or thinking about investing in, I also use it to see what sort of prices I should be selling items at and work out what are the best prices on the market daily making me a more reliable person to purchase off.
The usage and understanding of search engine optimization helps when having to upload a video or a item on social media sites such as instagram or facebook, using key words has help me bring more traffic upon my products and pictures this has helps me build a community of other people with similar hobbies and potential clients.
Work
I've worked in retail for 6 years in which I've gained many people skills and gained knowledge of customer relations and how they want to be treated as a customer, I've learned how to work as a team in a working environment and lead a team towards a goal. I'm currently working as a barber for 3 years now, in which marketing myself and communicating with clients using social media and other ways of communication are important as its the key to building a strong a client base who can relay on you.
hobbies and Interests
some of my interests and hobbies include reselling products such as clothing and trainers which I have been doing it for the past 2 years. I've also been gain a interest into cryptocurrency for the past few years and how by just reading charts and knowing whats happening around the world you can predict whats gonna happen with the prices of the crypto coins. Lastly my final hobby is boxing, I've been boxing for the past 4 years which i have motivated time and dedication to the sport even after a lose, i stayed resilient to my training and my trainers and stayed competing.
